Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 packet Instant yeast 2¼ teaspoons
  • ¾ cup Warm water 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 Large egg plus 1 for egg wash
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 Large ziplock bag (gallon-size)
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Oven

Method
 

  1. Add warm water, sugar, and yeast to the ziplock bag. Seal and gently shake. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Open the bag, add oil and one egg. Reseal and shake to combine.
  3. Add flour and salt. Seal and knead the bag gently for 5-7 minutes until a soft dough forms.
  4. Let dough rest in the bag in a warm spot for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Remove dough from the bag. Divide into 3 parts and braid on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Cover with a towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool before serving.
