Ingredients

  • 2 cups 480 ml strong brewed coffee, chilled (or cold brew)
  • 3 cups approx. 360–420 g vanilla ice cream (about 1 pint + ½ cup) — use higher-fat for richer texture
  • ½ cup 120 ml milk (whole or 2%) — adjust for consistency
  • 1 –2 tbsp granulated sugar or simple syrup optional, to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional, for extra vanilla note
  • 1 –2 cups ice optional — for thicker/ice-cream-frosted texture
  • Whipped cream optional, for topping

Equipment

  • Blender (high-speed recommended)
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Tall glasses and straws

Method

  1. Chill coffee: Brew a strong coffee and chill fully (or use cold brew). Pour into a measuring cup.
  2. Add to blender: In a blender add chilled coffee, vanilla ice cream, milk, sugar/simple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract. Add ½–1 cup ice if you prefer an extra thick/frosted texture.
  3. Blend: Pulse on medium-high until smooth and frosty, about 20–30 seconds. If too thin, add more ice or a bit more ice cream; if too thick, add a splash more milk or coffee.
  4. Taste & adjust: Taste and add a touch more sugar or vanilla if needed. Blend briefly to combine.
  5. Serve: Pour into 4 tall glasses. Top with whipped cream if desired. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use cold brew or double-strength brewed coffee.
Use premium vanilla ice cream for the closest Chick-fil-A taste.
Make it lighter: swap low-fat ice cream or frozen yogurt and use skim/plant milk.
Make ahead: blend just before serving for best texture it separates if stored.
Vegan option: use dairy-free vanilla ice cream and oat or almond milk.
