  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sugar to balance acidity
  • 1/4 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • 1/4 cup water adjust for desired consistency

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce and tomato paste, mixing until smooth.
  4. Add oregano, basil, paprika, sugar, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour in water to adjust thickness, then stir well.
  6. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
  8. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before using on pizza.
